How to get to Beitostølen

Beitostølen is located at the entrance to Jotunheimen and is easy to reach by both car and bus. Here you will find an overview of the most common travel methods, so you can plan your trip in the best possible way.

By car:
Beitostølen is located along county road 51 and has good road connections from both east and west. The drive from Oslo takes around 3.5 hours, and from Fagernes approximately 45 minutes. The roads are well plowed in winter, but we recommend checking the weather and road conditions before departure.

By bus:
There are daily bus departures from Oslo to Fagernes, and from here you can take a local bus directly to Beitostølen. The bus connections are frequent and adapted to further travel to the mountains.

No matter which mode of transportation you choose, Beitostølen is an accessible and inviting destination all year round.

Welcome to the mountains!
